A Security and Design Challenge

IGY Málaga Marina is a leading Mediterranean destination for superyachts up to 180 metres long. Located in the heart of Málaga, it offers first-class facilities backed by the strictest international quality and security standards. It is a unique location, designed to provide excellent service and complete privacy to the world’s most exclusive vessels, all while sitting in the vibrant centre of the city.

In 2024, as part of its strategic plan, the marina set out to turn security into a strategic pillar and a differentiating asset. To that end, it prepared to obtain ISPS certification, the global standard developed by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) to detect and prevent security threats at ships and port facilities. One of the requirements to implement was precisely the enclosure, which was a real challenge given the marina’s scenic location and its integration into the life of the city.

The marina found DTAC CLEAR to be the best option, as it more than met the intended security objective while allowing the city to continue enjoying the quay and its magnificent views.
